Creating and scheduling posts

Compose once, adapt per channel

Start in the composer with a base version. Add channels, and Orbit360 creates a per-channel variant you can edit independently — trim for X, add hashtags for Instagram, lengthen for LinkedIn. The base version stays as the source of truth for search and reporting.

Previews

Every variant renders a live preview using the real character counts, truncation points, and link-card behaviour of that provider. If a variant will be truncated, the preview shows the cut point rather than an abstract counter.

Scheduling options

  • Publish now — pushed immediately, subject to provider rate limits.
  • Schedule for — a specific date and time in the workspace time zone.
  • Next free slot — drops into the next empty slot in your posting schedule.
  • Optimal time — Orbit360 picks the highest-engagement window for that channel based on your last 90 days of data.

Recurring content

Evergreen items can repeat on a cadence with a stop date. Each repeat is a separate item in reporting, so you can see whether the third re-run still performs.

Failures

A failed publish retries three times with backoff, then notifies the author and workspace admins with the provider's raw error. Fix and re-queue from the item itself — no need to rebuild it.
