Creating Your First Social Media Post

Creating a post in Orbit360 is simple. From a single composer, you can write your content, select the social accounts you want to publish to, attach media, organize posts into campaigns, and either publish immediately, schedule for later, or save your work as a draft.

Opening the Post Composer

There are two ways to create a new post:

• Click the Create Post button in the top navigation.
• Click Create New from the left sidebar.

This opens the post composer where you'll create and manage your content.

Creating Your Post

To create a post:

1. Select the Brand you want to publish from.
2. Choose one or more Destinations by selecting the connected social media accounts you want to publish to.
3. Enter a Title. This is an internal name used to help your team identify the post and is not published to social media.
4. Write your post in the Content field.
5. Optionally, add a Campaign to organize your content and include Notes or Tags for your team.
6. Upload your media by clicking Add Media, or choose existing assets from the Asset Library.

Orbit360 supports multiple images, a single video, or a PDF, depending on the requirements of the selected social platform.

Publishing Options

Once your post is ready, you can choose one of four actions:

• Publish Now to publish immediately.
• Schedule to publish at a future date and time.
• Save Draft to continue working on the post later.
• Cancel to close the composer without saving.

Depending on your workspace permissions and approval workflow, your post may be sent for approval before it can be published.

Best Practices

Before publishing, review your selected destinations, proofread your content, confirm your media has uploaded successfully, and ensure you've selected the correct brand. If you're collaborating with a team, use campaigns and notes to keep everyone aligned.
